This model was issued as a part of “CHATITY CONNECTION” Series in 2001. It was new tooling and the first issue of this truck model by Corgi. Advertised us NON Limited this model was issued only once and so far Corgi do not reissued this model and no other new models from this Series.
While the Superhaulers Series issued as a part of Corgi Toy Line of models, This models is a part of their Collectables Line and featuring in 2001 July – December Catalog and has a number as models from this line. Comes in a window box individually design for this model, featuring a picture and story.
ABOUT THE TRUCK
“Since 1988 , ‘Jimmy’ has been out on the road raising funds for The Cancer Research Campaign. Sponsorship on the side of the trailer, fund raising events and revenue from the vehicle’s working life have all contributed to the 300,000 UK pound (that is over $500,000) of funds it has generated in its three-years quest. ‘Jimmy’ was the brainchild of David Irlam, managing director of the haulage company .James Irlam & Sons Ltd. A donation from the sale of each model will be made to The Cancer Research Campaign.”
