“Major Walter "Nowi" Nowotny (December 7, 1920 – November 8, 1944) was an Austrian-born German fighter ace of World War II with 258 confirmed victories in 442 missions, 255 victories over Russian pilots. By many considered as greatest fighter pilot of all time, by considering relation of his victories to his sorties..”

He flown Messerschmitt Bf 109, Focke-Wulf 190 and first operational jet fighter Me 262.  He was shot down and killed in his Me 262  A-1a (W.Nr. 110 400) “White 8”.

“Forward March” is a line produced by famous British Company Corgi.  It consists of high quality, spin-cast metal hand painted figures in 1/32 and 1/50 scale

The same year Corgi USA presented 1/50 scale firefighters and WWII soldiers figures presented in sets of 6 figures and 1/32 scale series US WWII Recruiting Posters Series.

As of end of 2007 it looks like both series are discontinued.  However, during short time I production Corgi issued several really nice figures in 1/32 scale and sets of 1/50 scale.  I will not speculate on reasons why it has been discontinued but two facts are obvious.  The quality is good and price sounds as a high one.  Now you have opportunity to get those nice figures just at a fraction of its original cost.  In my mind there no doubts that such opportunity will not last long.
