Starline Models is a new name on the very competitive market of 1/43 scale diecast car models.  The company based in Germany, but models produced in China (P.R.C.)  Collection consists mostly of Italian Cars models from 60’s-70’s.   It appears that most models present cars that aren’t available from different model makers or very difficult to find.

Models are well detailed with very good paint job and nicely done wheels.  Bumpers and grill  have “chrome” finish, body “chrome” package like windows trip are painted silver (good quality), windshield wipers on most models “silver” painted.  Each model presented in different colors with individual catalog number.

In my personal opinion as a collector this line quality wise is a strong competitor to New Vitesse and IXO and compete well with Minichamps brands.

Packaging consist of display case (black plastic base with a slope front on which the car name, model and year printed in white, clear acrylic top and outer carton sleeve (metal gray in color with company logo all over it, open front, top and both ends).  Display is stackable and holds well.

In my best knowledge currently Starline Models presented on the US market only as
”gray export” – independed US dealer exported it from European dealers.

FIAT 130

This car was manufactured by Italian automaker Fiat.  The car was a large executive model that replaced largest and most exclusive Fiat 2300 in March 1969.  It was the last executive model of Fiat.   Fiat 130 was a thoroughly modern car featuring four-wheel independed suspension, standard power-steering and four-wheel disk brakes, first Fiat to adopt an alternator instead of a direct-current generator.  The engine designed by Ferrari engine designer powered rear wheel drive Fiat 130.  V-6 belt driven twin overhead camshafts with displacement of 2866cc the engine was rated at 140 bhp.  It was equipped with standard 3-speed automatic transmission with optional 5-speed ZF manual.  In 1970 the engine was uprated to 160 bhp, later the engine was replaced with 3235 cc producing 165 bhp.

Production of 130 Saloon (Berlina, Sedan) was discontinued in 1976 with 15,063 units produced.  Fiat 130 was also available as coupe that was introduced in 1971.  Though designed on the same platform the body was designed and built by Pininfarina and had significantly different in style.  It was even more luxurious compare to Saloon.   Productions of a coupe continued through 1977 with total of 4,294 units were produced.

The Starline Models Fiat 130 model displays great.  It is a really good model indeed.
