RARE. For long time now Schuco only Blitz are a fire engine and a fire ladder.

This isn’t a Junior series but Collector Collection “Historic Delivery Trucks Series”.

Schuco  - for many years Schuco doesn’t have a destributor on the US market.  It is very difficult to find this brand here, gray export from Europe is very expensive.   In Europe this brand retails at high price plus US Dollar constantly falling compare to Euro.  None of Schuco models that I still have in stock are available from Schuco.  Many tooling are retired or out of production.

ABOUTH THE MODEL
This is much better model than Opel Blitz by Victoria/A Model/ Sun Star that is in fact a good model by itself.
In my opinion this model is better detailed and more accurately presents this truck compare to V_itesse (V_ictoria, A M_odel, C_ity, S_un S_tar all those models have a same castings)
Very attractive model that displays very well with any car/truck collection, this is a must for any serious truck collector.
It’s very difficult to find. Do not miss this rare opportunity to acquire this model
Came in a large individual acrylic display case that is big enough to accommodate 1/24 scale model, that could sold over $10.00 at your local Hobby store..
Equal or better quality to M_inichamps truck models, at lower price plus a display case.

For military vehicles collectors: This model presented in “civilian dress” however, as you probably know Opel Blitz was probably the most widely used truck by Germans during WW II, eventually virtually every truck was force in a military service.  Again this model is much, much better compare to model by V_itesse.

ABOUT THE TRUCK
Production of this 6 cylinder-75 hp truck, started in 1936 (other sources April 1937) at Brandenburg Opel truck plant, which was very modern for the time and was open in 1935. Until August 6th 1944, the day when it was destroyed while bombing ride, more than 130,000 of various Opel Blitz were manufactured.  Out of this number 82356 were S (Standard)model.

It had maximum speed of 85 km/h; took 3t (3.31t)of cargo, with maximum loaded weight 5.8t,

Engine - gasoline, 6 cylinder 3626cc. (221 cu in) 68 hp @ 2800rpm, Gears; 5 and 1 rear. Fuel capacity 82 l (27.7 US gal); consumpsion 26 l/100km (8mpg) on road and 35l/100km (6.7 mpg) cross country.  Road speed 85 km/h (53 mph) Cross Country speed 35 km/h (22 mph) Weight 2500kg.  L 6.02m (19.75 ft), W 2.265 m (7.43'), H 2.52 m (8.27'). In additon to Opel the Blitz also was produced under licence by other manufacturers.  For example in 1943 Mercedes-Benz instead of its own model L3000 started produce Blitz (designeted L.701). They say that it was also produced by Krupp, Magirus, Henschel and all together approximately 400,000 were produced by the end of WWII and remain in production past the end of the war.

ABOUTH THE MODEL MAKER
Schuco is very old, famous, German Company that has an established name among collectors all over the world. They were a leader in die cast car models back in ‘70s. Probably in late 90’s they reestablished line of die cast models.
Please don’t confuse the Junior Line with Schuco Classic Line.  Unfortunately many dealers on the Internet called Schuco Junior Line as Schuco.  Models that Schuco distributed under Schuco Jr. are made by H_ongwell (C_ararama) Though these model have excellent price to quality ratio quality wise it is like to compare a Hyundai to Rolls Royce.
