This is beautifly crafted model, with clear, sharp details, high gloss black paint job and chrome (not silver paint as on M_inichamps Mercedes models) on all windows trim and body moldings.
Mercedes Chassis Code W115 with M115-923 motor was in production 1967-1976 and consisted of 8 model types. Type 200 was available as a Saloon only. 1,450,298 of all types were manufactured including 288,775 of 200 type. Production started in 1967 with 67 car produced, during the last year of production (1976) 13,018 cars were manufactured, the most productive year was 1975 with 48,214 cars manufactured. The car was powered by 4 cylinder, 1,988cc engine that had outcome of 95hp @ 5,200rpm, had 4 speed automatic gearbox, max speed 98mph, 0-to-62mph in 16 sec. L 184”, W 70”, Weight 2724lb
ixo- MODELS are made in China by SONIC INTERNATIONAL (TOYS) LIMITED.
Packaging is attractive, a model attached w/a screw to a black plastic display case base w/ the model name printed on it, has a clear acrylic top, display packed in a carton sleeve.
Since 2001 after V_itesse G_roup declared bankruptcy the model maker that produced a large part of V_itesse’s models, in particular under S_kid, O_nyx, 2_-Wheels and some V_itesse badge models created its own brand now know as ixo-MODELS.
Ixo always produced good quality models that are competitive to famous M_inichamps brand, but with their many newest models released in 2006 they show that they are capable of producing equal or even greater quality models to its major competitor while keeping lower price (on SRP is approximately 1/3 less and on retail level even less) without sacrifice in quality. Latest 2006 ixo release of Mercedes cars just brilliant!
