This highly detailed model featured “chrome” parts allover the car (including all moldings and window trim).  “Chrome”, plenty of it on the model as it was on the car, and deep gloss red color combination is astonishing, details are clear and sharp.  Just short time ago models of such quality were available at the price 4-5 times higher.

Questionable areas: for me just two, First the model described as 300 SE W112, which is the series of Ultra-luxurious variants featured air suspension of Mercedes Cars that had body nicknamed the “Fintail” or “Heckflosse” in German.  The question is with regard to the model year.  This body style was introduced in 1959, however until 1961 only W111 chassis was in production that featured models of 220 (b/Sb/SEb) series.  The W112 chassis with 300 (SE/SEL) series were in production from 1961 to 1965.  The other one is an outside rear mirror, though I can’t say it is a wrong, but I never saw a picture of a “Fintail” with one positioned on a fender, usually there no outside mirrors or if it present it positioned on a door.  Was an outside mirror optional on “Fintail”?

Well nothing is perfect in this world so this model.  But it is very close to be a one.
