ABOUT 1990 LE MANS
This model represents the race winner car of 1990 (June 16-17) Le Mans Race on mostly dry, brief rain day. The racetrack was 8.451 miles; the car covered the distance of 3040.7 miles completing 388 laps, with an average speed of 126.69 mph.
After Sauber Mercedes C9 solid win of 1989 championship, including dominating at 1989 Le Mans, the team replaced C9 with C11 that probably would win 1990 too but the 1990 Le Mans race wasn’t a part of the World Sportscar Championship schedule and Sauber Mercedes team decided not participated in the race but concentrating on the championship that they won but winning all but one race in the season.
Without C11 Jaguar XJR-12 took on Nissan and Porsche; and Jaguar car #3 won the race.
