In 2004 the Italian State Police (Polizia di Stato) celebrated its 152nd Anniversary. For the occasion the House of San’t Agata Bolognese donated the single Lamborghini Gallardo.
The ceremony took place in Rome on May 14-16, 2004. The supper car in State Police colours, with siren and flashing lights on the roof, special medical equipment for the first aid (defibrillator, electrocardiograms automatic diagnoses of arterial pressure and the presence of oxygen and carbon dioxide in the blood, as well as the transportation of plasma and human organs for transplants), and advance technological equipment for transmission and receiving information and images (traffic, accidents, disasters), is in use by the traffic police (Polizia Stradale) for emergency situation on the Salerno-Reggio Calabria Speedway, in South Italy.
The permanent four-wheel drive and special ‘Sottozero” snow tyres developed by Pirelli for Lamborghini vehicles will allowed to operate this high performance car in bad weather.
This is the first time when Lamborghini car is used by Italian Police.
Well the regular Gallardo has a price tag around $166,000, powered by 5 Liter V10 engine that produced 500 hp @ 7800rpm and accelerates this full aluminum body supercar from 0-60 mph in 4.3 seconds with a top speed of 190 mph.
This super car isn’t the first one served with Italian Police. In 60's the Police in Rome received Ferrari (please see my listing for the model of this car by BANG, check Police or Ferrari Category).

Is it difficult to imagine for a model in 1/43 scale? But it is the truth! Unbelievably highly detailed models from any aspect. Packed in an attractive box with its own acrylic display case.
Though more expensive compare to model of this car by IXO this model is more accurate and has higher lever of details
