The model displays great!  The ladder consists of 3 parts; it is extendable and turns.

The model is a part of the popular Corgi UK Series “nine DOUBLE nine” (999 is emergency call number as 911 in the US).  Models from this series aren’t available for the distribution on the US market.  Some models are available for special orders that could be place in about two week period upon semi year UK catalog release, but the orders aren’t guarantied for a delivery.  Bottom line it is very difficult and very expensive to get models from Corgi UK lines here on the US market.

CORGI Says:  “AEC, the Associated Equipment Company started producing chassis for fire fighting vehicles after the Second World War.  The launch of the AEC Mercury Ergomatic provided the fire engines builders with a cab, chassis and power unit ideal for such vehicles.  The AEC Mercury TGM chassis was ideal to mount turntable ladders and hydraulic platforms on and many of these vehicles gave service for in excess of twenty years.

CFK 291G was delivered to Worcester City County and Fire Brigade in 1968 and operated out of the Fire Station in Copenhagen Street, Worcester.  The 1974 Local Government Boundary changes resulted in the formation of the Hereford and Worchester Fire Brigade and this appliance served with this Fire Brigade until it was sold in 1991 to a docks fire brigade in Liverpool”
