SOLIDO
- is French die cast model maker with a long history. Back in 70’s and 80’s it was one of the leading company in the field.
Models were considered as a highly detailed for the time. Currently available technology allowed to make models with much higher level of details compare to those of old Solido models but they still display great.
Hi – Fi 43
Collection consists of vide variety of cars from 60’s and newer. Models are available in different colors. In my best knowledge not all car models issued in different colors have the individual catalog number.
Packaging design changed over the time. All models from the series have a display case with a model secured with a screw to a plastic base and carton sleeve.
A base has a model name and its catalog number along with the company and the series name on it.
Some models are still in production and the rest usually available for very reasonable price (if not to say at low price). Some models are rare and retails at substantial price. In my personal opinion as a collector this series is a “Past Time” of die cast car collecting but a good one.
Here is a good opportunity to get good models at a good price. Who knows how long this “triple good” will exist.
