Order #05_2008

We are forming a small unit consisted of personnel from different branches of armed forces in order to perform special tasks according to tactical needs in our “1:43 – 1-50 scales military equipment ” area of the “personal collection front”.  Thus a few units going to be disbanded and some soldiers from those units going to be “transferred” under someone else command.  “Disbanding” units are fresh replacements that never saw combat (stock, never on display) and will transfer under your command straight from their “training schools barracks” (Corgi original box).

The Waffenamt (Ordnance Department) still have sufficient quantity of equipment and material but due to heavy loses of personnel on the Eastern Front and after Alies inveison in Normandy there are high demand for “replacement”, but our people reserves virtually depleted and loses can’be be covered by a draft any longer (Corgi Discontinued production of the series).

It could be your last chance to replenish the force under your command.   This is an extremely rare, if not the only opportunity to get “replacements” instead to getting an entire squad that still available at some training bases that aren’t over run but enemy yet (my competitors who still have the models in stock).

If you are planning to increase your force please remember that up to 6 soldiers could be transported to your current location on one vehicle (you are paying the same price for S&H for one or up to 6 figures), additional personnel over this number could be transported in a “trailer” (additional S&H will be only $1.00 per figure).  Transit papers (S&H price) will be adjusted if the order paper will show different numbers.   You can find information on available personnel in “For Your Eyes Only” files (best way to check by choosing “Shop by Brand > Corgi Forward March, or Categories > Military > Figures at my web store home page).

Good luck in accomplishing of your orders.

Schutzstaffel abbreviated SS German for “Protective Squadron”, was a major Nazi military organization.  Its grew from a small paramilitary unit to the Nazi Party’s “Shield Squadron”.  Initially smaller than the Ernst Rohm’s Sturmabteilung (Storm Trooper, abbreviated SA).  The SA was a semi-independent and a thereat to Hitler’s hegemony of the party SS organization in other hand was extremely loyal to Hitler.  SA was eliminated and SS grew to a fully armed military organization and become known as Waffen SS.  All SS members were volunteers. Under Himmler command members were selected according to the “Aryan” racist ideology.  The SS members were strong belivers in Nazi case.  Waffen SS become elite armed force, very well trained equipped and supplied.  It consisted of three suborganizations: Hitler’s personal bodyguards (Leibstandarte), The Death’s-Head Battalions (Totenkopfverbande) and the Combat Support Force (Verfugungstruppe).  During the WWII up to 39 divisions fought on all fronts.  Some SS units of the Combat Support Force were formed from none-Germans.   Officially SS was not a part of the Wehrmacht (German Joint Armed Forces) but de-facto it was forth branch of the Wehrmacht

The SS was responsible for the vast majority of war crimes perpetrated under the Nazi regime.

Forward March Series by Corgi, is line of Highly Detailed Spin-Cast Scale Model For The Adult Collector and consists of hand painted metal figures produced in 1:32 scale.  The Series was introduced in July 2006.  The same year the Corgi USA added to the series line of figures in 1:50 scale.

Corgi says: - “A collection of limited edition metal figures which pays homage to those who serve and protect us both at home and an away.  These highly detailed figures can stand above or be displayed with other Corgi models”

The Corgi "Forward March" range presents highly-detailed, ready-made spin-cast figures in 1:32(54mm) and 1:50(36mm) scale. Over the last 50 years Corgi has earned a reputation as one of the finest producers of highly detailed, die-cast, historically accurate vehicle and aircraft models. These same values and principles have now been applied to a brand new range of hand-painted, spin-cast metal miniature figurines - the FORWARD MARCH collection. Our same commitment to quality and authenticity shines through in every figure - from aviators to World War II infantry and elite forces, these figures capture the essence of the period down to the buttons on the tunics and the look of confidence and resignation in their detailed faces! Many of these figures are the perfect compliment to existing Corgi military and aviation collections - what better way to bring additional life to your existing collection than by creating your own custom-made vignette with vehicles and figures.

Corgi "Forward March" figures feature:

- Spin-cast metal construction.

- Hand-painted details.

- Unique, lifelike poses.

As other Corgi products figures are high quality products and they are expensive.  This line has been discontinued (second part of 2007) and it isn’t due to a lack of quality but probably due to a high price.  The remaining quantity is very limited.

The figures advertised as 1:50 scale (a standing figure without its base is approximately 36 mm high / 1.4”) but displays great with 1:43, 1:48 and 1:5 0 scales military models.

For your convenience I’ve included pictures of the figure from different sides.
