“While Land Rover's midsize Discovery possesses more luxurious features in North America than overseas, the company points out that any vehicle capable of running in mud up to its windowsills in the jungles of Borneo is more than adequate for a family trip across the state. Discovery is priced squarely in Explorer/Blazer territory, though it has a look that is unique in its class. Towing capacity up to 7,700 pounds and a built-in Class III hitch receiver make the Discovery a viable choice for trailering, while optional rear jump seats increase passenger capacity to seven. Like the Range Rover, the Discovery was available in the rest of the world for two decades before arriving in North America”
It is 4 wd, size: L 185.2”; W 74.4”; H 75.4”; Wheelbase 100”; Ground Clearance 8.2”. Seats 5 passengers, optional 7. Engine is 4.6 litres V 8; new one on 2003 model has 217 hp. Price range for 2003 new between $34,350 – 40,350.

Besides highly detailed exterior and interior, unlike most other models in 1/43 scale featured detailed underbody with turn able front wheels (I do not recall any other model maker in this scale that has this feature).
